Students that are pre-music majors are expected to enroll in MUSC 1105 during their first semester at USU. The course is intended to prepare students for MUSC 1110 - Music Theory I (BCA). Although the course is not required for graduation, it is expected that students will register for the course and either complete it or test out. Even if testing out, students must register for the course. MUSC 2180 consists of a series of three proficiency exams that all music majors must complete prior to the completion of four semesters of study. The MUSC 4500 requirement may also be satisfied by MUSC 3760, MUSC 3770, and MUSC 4710 for string bass majors only. 8 credits minimum are required for both MUSC 3500 and MUSC 4500. - - -Â -
