Completion requirement

A grade of C or better is required in all Music Performance courses.

Complete ALL of the following Courses:

NOTE:

  1. course - 1 credit; 30-minute recital.

  2. course - 2 credits; 60-minute recital.

All individual instruction courses must be passed with a grade of B- or better. All other music courses must be passed with a grade of C or better. Major requirements may not be taken on a pass/fail basis. Minimum GPA for all required courses is a 3.0.

Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete ALL of the following Courses:

NOTE:

  1. course - First year fall and first year spring semesters for a total of 2 credits.

  2. course - Second year fall semester for a total of 1 credit.

  3. course - 5 remaining semesters for a total of 5 credits.

AND

Students must earn 8 credits from any combination of these courses.

  1. course - Credits as determined by Music Faculty Advisor to pass Level 5 Piano Proficiency.

  2. course - Even year fall.

  3. course - Odd year spring.

Vocal Performance majors may either take one First Year I and one First Year II courses in the same language, or two First Year I courses in two different languages. Language options are limited to French, German or Italian.

To graduate, students are required to attend a minimum of 80 concerts or recitals. Recital and concert attendance is monitored and recorded in the Music Student Services office. Students should turn in programs after attending concerts and recitals for documentation of attendance.
