Bridge Pathway: Students who have participated in a High School Portuguese Bridge Program should follow the instructions below for successful completion of the Portuguese minor.
Credits in Residence: At least half (50 percent) of the credits earned for this minor must be earned at USU. Bridge courses will count toward elective credits and credits in residence at USU.
AP Exam: Bridge students who received a score of 3 or higher on the AP Portuguese Exam taken prior to starting Bridge classes may register directly for course without having to take any of the lower-division Portuguese courses or another placement test.
Bridge Courses: course, course, and course should be transferred to the Registrar’s Office if taken through another University.
If Bridge student successfully completed:
1 Bridge course: Take course and 2 more 3 credit upper-division Portuguese electives
2 Bridge courses: Take course and 1 more 3 credit upper-division Portuguese elective
3 Bridge courses: Take course
Upon completion, student should have 12 credits of upper division Portuguese coursework to complete the minor, Bridge classes included.
