The certificate requires 12 total credits, as outlined within the curriculum below. Individual substitutions for course requirements may be considered and approved on a case-by-case basis by the Data Analytics and Information Systems Department.

Courses used to fulfill requirements for this certificate may not include courses previously completed to meet the requirements of any other certificate or program, and cannot be used to complete any other certificate or program.

Courses remain valid for 6 years for potential inclusion in a future master’s degree program (MMIS or MDATA).

Certificate students who opt to earn an MMIS or MDATA degree will be granted a waiver for reduced application fees for their future master’s application. Please contact our office for details.
