About this Degree

The program in Translation and Interpretation Studies provides transferable and long-lasting skills to be used in the healthcare and legal and business industry. The program integrates a micro-credential in medical interpretation, court interpretation, translation, and localization. It builds work-based learning experiences by providing meaningful activities and community engagement. With the growing demand for qualified translators and interpreters in Utah and across the United States, this BA provides the necessary skills in fields that have high demand in the industry. 

The curriculum is designed to provide two emphasis: one in Healthcare Translation and Interpretation and the other in Legal and Business Translation and Interpretation. Graduates of this program are poised to make a significant economic impact. They will fill critical roles in healthcare settings, legal proceedings, business and community services.
