About this Degree

This minor allows students involved in education programs the opportunity to add an additional endorsement area to their credentials. The Utah State Office of Education has made changes in the requirements for endorsements. They have created a separate content area for middle school Technology and Engineering Education with fewer education requirements for endorsement. The required course experience is covered in 5 courses taught in the Technology and Engineering Education program at USU. The minor in Technology and Engineering Education provides students in other fields of education the opportunity to expand their marketability while addressing the shortage of technology and engineering teachers in Utah. Students who successfully complete this minor will qualify to apply for the Technology endorsement (aka, the “middle school” endorsement for TEE). This endorsement attaches to secondary licenses only, not to CTE licenses
