Following is a sample, generic plan for a student who is just beginning to study the Japanese language.
Students with higher language proficiency and prior language experience, who test out of lower-division language courses at USU, may potentially complete degree requirements much faster.
Contact the Department of World Languages & Cultures for proficiency and placement testing in Japanese and 50+ other languages.
Several language or linguistics courses in the department offer CI-Communications Intensive or DHA-Depth Humanities attributes.
Meet with an academic advisor to create a specific plan that best fits your needs and goals.
The student is ultimately responsible for knowing and completing all degree requirements.
Consultation with an advisor may result in an altered plan customized for an individual student.
