About this Degree
The Bachelor of Science in Technology Systems is a flexible, career-focused degree designed to build on technical training and applied learning. Many students begin with a technical college certificate that stacks into the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Technology and Design. The AAS provides the first two years of the bachelor’s degree, integrating technical coursework, general education, and foundational professional skills to support success in advanced study and career preparation.
In the final two years, students gain the technical, managerial, and leadership skills employers value most, apply their learning through an internship or senior project, and customize their degree by choosing one of three emphasis areas:
Computer Technology Emphasis: Build expertise in IT and cybersecurity while developing leadership skills to manage complex systems..
Manufacturing Emphasis: Learn how to design, produce, and improve processes with practical skills that drive modern manufacturing.
Technical Management Emphasis: Gain the leadership and problem-solving skills to manage people, projects, and processes across technical fields.
Each emphasis integrates a certificate or minor tailored to students’ career goals, providing specialized, industry-relevant skills. This stackable design lets students earn progressive credentials that strengthen both their academic preparation and career advancement.
