World Languages and Cultures: French Emphasis - BA
Download as PDF
Following is a sample four-year plan, with the example of starting as a beginner with no previous French language experience or coursework. Students with prior language experience should take the Language Proficiency and Placement Test at USU's Department of World Languages & Cultures to possibly "test out of" courses, purchase earned credits depending on score, or meet prerequisites to potentially complete the French Major emphasis quicker. Bridge program participants (up to 9 credits toward the major) and others with prior language experience may be able complete language course requirements quicker, or more quickly complete 2 majors.
Please note that student-specific plans may differ. Consultation with an advisor is suggested.
Meet with an academic advisor to create a specific plan that best fits your academic needs.
The student is ultimately responsible for knowing and completing all degree requirements.
Make sure you meet the registration requirements for each class, checking any prerequisites or corequisites.
Consultation with an advisor may result in an altered plan customized for an individual student.
Check your Degree Works for requirements and completion.
