Communications Literacy Requirement

In addition to satisfying the basic Communications Literacy (CL) general education requirement, students in this major must receive a grade of C+ or better in either ENGL 1010  or ENGL 2010 . 

Mathematics Requirements

MATH 1051  or MATH 1050  requires a grade of C- or better. MATH 2010  and MATH 2020  require a grade of C or better.

Preparation Anchor - ELED (15 credits)

Unless otherwise noted, these courses require a grade of B- or better for Licensure Lane Designation (LLD). Students not receiving these minimum grades may receive General Studies Lane Designation (GSLD).

• ELED 1010 - Orientation to Elementary Education 3

• or

• TEAL 1010 - Introduction to Education 3

• (B- or better required for Licensure Lane Designation)

• HDFS 1500 - Human Development Across the Lifespan (BSS) 3 (also serves as required BSS course; C or better for LLD)
• TEAL 3660 - Educational Psychology for Teachers 2

• Students are encouraged to take TEAL 3660  with the Foundations Block.
