About this Degree

The BS Degree is a 128-credit program designed to teach students principles and skills in various biological engineering areas, such as bioprocessing, biomedical, bioenvironmental, bioenergy, and biomanufacturing. Students will also gain hands-on experience from the in-class lab sessions and Senior Design project.

Admission Requirements for this Program

Admission to the Pre-Professional Program
New freshmen: Admitted to USU in Good Standing

  • Minimum 3.0 High School GPA, 23 ACT, 24 math ACT score and 73 Admission Index

  • Transfer students from other institutions or other programs at USU:

    • course completed with a C- or higher grade

    • GPA of 2.5 or higher in Pre-Professional courses

    • 12 credits or more of Science, Engineering, and Math completed with a 2.5 or higher GPA
