The following is a sample four-year plan. Please note that student-specific plans may differ.
Meet with an academic advisor to create a specific plan that best fits your academic needs.
The student is ultimately responsible for knowing and completing all degree requirements.
Make sure you meet the registration requirements for each class by clicking the course link and checking any prerequisites or corequisites.
Consultation with an advisor may result in an altered plan customized for an individual student.
Check your Degree Works for requirements and completion.
*Please note the following:
course is required by USU but is not included in the degree map because most engineering students satisfy this requirement through an ACT English score of 29 or higher, an SAT Critical Reading score of 640 or higher, Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations (score of 3 on English Language & Composition or English Literature & Composition) or College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) completion.
course and course, when taken with course, will fulfill the Breadth Life Science (BLS) requirement
Though not required, students are encouraged to take course in their first semester
Apply for admission to the Professional Program in spring semester of year 2
Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is part of the degree requirements. It is highly recommended students take the exam before the fall semester of their senior year.
Students are recommended to apply for graduation as soon as they have registered for their last semester.
Please see Program Requirements above and work with your Academic Advisor to ensure pre-professional requirements are met within the correct timeline
