About this Degree
In the French program students develop durable skills for the global workplace, including cultural competence, analytical skills, communication skills, professional presentation and interview skills, translation skills, interpretive skills, and critical thinking skills. Students develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing proficiency skills in French. Students explore the language, cultures, literatures, traditions, and perspectives of francophone countries around the world. They have opportunities to interact with other French speakers on campus, including French tutoring and conversation practice hours. Students also have options to participate in study abroad programs in France, where they gain further understanding of francophone cultures and the French language.

Complete at least 2 credits in approved 3000-level or above courses from each of the following two categories: Depth Life and Physical Sciences (DSC) and Depth Social Sciences (DSS).
Admission Requirements for this Program
New freshmen must be admitted to USU in Good Standing.
Transfer students from other institutions or other programs at USU must have a 2.50 GPA.
