Marketing majors require a B- grade or higher in MSLE 3500
Beginning Fall 2026, all Majors (not Minors) in the Huntsman School of Business are required to participate in a career accelerating experience (aka the Career Acceleration Program, or CAP); the requirement for CAP varies by Major. The listed MSLE4250 internship elective course (further below) does count as one of the options for CAP for marketing Majors. Please see your assigned marketing student advisor in the advising office for the full list of approved marketing CAP activities.
All majors in the Huntsman School of Business require 70 hours split between acumen and major courses. Currently the acumen is 47 credits. Thus, in addition to the business acumen classes, marketing majors must complete 23 credits in marketing courses, split across the marketing core and electives as currently follows:
Note: MSLE3500 is a prerequisite for several of the required marketing classes. MSLE 3500 is not shown in this section of courses because it is already previously listed as a part of the required business acumen courses.
Note:
course, course, and course are each repeatable, but limited to 2 credits combined towards elective Marketing major credit.
Two credits combined towards elective Marketing major credit can be taken from the listed different 4250 internship courses.
Suggested course for different elective courses for different marketing career focus areas:
· Marketing Analytics: Take course, course, and at least two of either course, course, course, or course
· Digital & E-Commerce Marketing: Take course, course, course, and either course or course
· B2B/Category Management/E-Commerce: Take course, course and one or more of course, course
· Corporate B2B Sales: course, course, course, and 2 credits of course

Total elective credit is determined by General Education courses taken, degree type selected, additional credits earned, and any additional math or other prerequisite courses needed. Please consult your Academic Advisor for details.
